I have apparently got really stressed out skin, which is very dehydrated, which is why I have heaps of congestion. Says my beautician, after I went for a facial a couple of weeks ago. I have been trialing a new skin care regime with quite good results, which is excellent, and I shall be discussing that at a later date (I am heading in for a peel in 2 weeks time and I thought that I would wait until I heard the verdict before I start talking, so keep your eyes peeled for that one).
In the meantime, one product which I had in my stash which I was using, but not very regularly, became something that I was allowed to use (whereas almost everything else got thrown away). Success. My beautician actually said that this was a great product and one which would exfoliate without stressing my skin, and I have to say that so far she is right. Of course she is, she is a god of skin care, and I should never have doubted her in the first place haha.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant comes in a hygienic canister, which contains two tiny little holes in the top in which you poor the powder through. Powder I hear you say? Yes. This product is a powder, to use you wet your hands and then poor a little powder onto them, rub your hands together and rub it all over your face.
For an exfoliant, this product is very soft. If you like harsh scrubs (like St Ives, for instance) this product won't be for you, it is the exact opposite of that. But, I feel that it exfoliates and cleans much better than the harsher scrubs ever did for me. It leaves your skin feeling soft, not dry, and absolutely glowing.
I love this stuff. The end. Plus, I love the novelty of it being a powder which turns into a paste. Fun!

ReplyDeleteAnd how good are peels!? They are my skin's saviour!
oh congrats on winning one, it truly will change exfoliation haha. I have never had a peel yet, but apparently my skin is desperate for one. I am a little nervous, but I shall let you know how it goes when it's done! x
