Stressed Skin

Being in the middle of Uni exams doesn't bode well for anyone, but for me, the place that shows it the most is my face. I get red eyes with huge, big black bags, and to be honest, shit skin. My skin goes nuts from stress, and I am now sporting a face full of acne and pigmentation from said acne, and it's driving me crazy!!

That said, I have had to up the anti on skin care at the moment. I have just finished doing a massive pimple massacre (using the super strong benzac gel from the chemist - and it's working, hurrah!), and am now moving on to the "lets fix all the damage"stage. Firstly, I am trying to fix all the pigmentation, prevent any new pimples in the last week of exams, and provide some moisture to my tired, dehydrated skin. Whew. That is a task of mammoth proportions, but here goes!

To fix pigmentation I am currently using the Clinique Even Better Clincal Dark Spot Corrector. This product is truly awesome. I used it last Uni exam block to fix pigmentation and it worked a treat, so its being brought out again to work it's magic.

Secondly, to prevent any more pimples popping up, as well as murdering my entire face (that stuff is STRONG) every few days with the Benzac Gel, I have also been attacking any pimples that survive with Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion. This is possibly the best pimple murderer that I have ever come across. It contains a soothing calamine powder, which reduces redness, zinc to help heal the skin, as well as Salicylic acid to kill the pimples. What you do is dip a cotton ball all the way to the bottom where the pink calamine powder is, and then draw up and apply to the spot. It creates a little opaque pink crust over the pimple. You then go to sleep, wake up in the morning, and BAM - the spot is gone. Magic.

Finally, to replace the moisture in my skin, I have been using Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream. Sukin is an organic skin care brand which actually makes fantastic products. The Night Cream soaks right into my skin and leaves it ridiculously hydrated. It contains heaps of natural anti-oxidant containing products, such as Rosehip Oil,  and it smells gorgeous, like all of their products. Plus, I have been using it for months now, so I know that it isn't the cause of my breakouts. Therefore, a winner for me during shit skin time.

Now, all I have to do is persevere and pass my exams. Harder than it sounds!
